Check jendancingfir’s channel on YouTube for new videos showing the kids from Summit Middle School dancing on the Mural Ampitheater stage at the Northwest Folklife festival.
Here’s the video description:
Students at Summit Middle School in Seattle created a dance performance under the direction of Jena Hennessey. They performed at Seattle’s Folklife festival on May 22, 2009. Summit is closing after the current school year. The students’ performance resonates with themes of destruction and uncertainty, but with a feeling of pride and accomplishment in what they’ve experienced, and in what they’ve created.
The video is in two parts, since YouTube imposes a limit of 10 minutes per clip. Be sure to watch it in High Quality (HQ) mode for the best experience!

A full-length (15 minute) video is also posted here.
